Finding cogsci folks

Hi I’m an incoming sophomore intended cogsci major transferred from UCL Psychology to CMU :D

I decided to do a cogsci major and a neural computation minor, quite into academics, especially cognitive neuroscience and mostly will be doing theoretical and practical work on the topic of consciousness and the self.

I have seen a cogsci club on Instagram but their post stopped at 2025, if u r in cogsci major and have know where to get information about relevant groups/channels/events/talks, pls comment or dm me!

If u r just interested in these topics or how is the major like over the Atlantic feel free to talk! Want to make new friends here🖤

Suggestion for 15122-stay on session 1 waitlist or switch to session 3

Hi a upcoming sophomore cognitive science major preparing for fall semester this year, I have already pass the placement however on the 7th for 15122 session 1 recitation A(for the recitation of the least number of ppl)

My advisor told me it is hard to get into this course and should switch to session 3 which is available, but that conflicts with my core 85170 and I want to get in both, in this circumstance, I need to find a course replacing 85170 (also rly don't want having class on Sunday)

Should I stick into the wl on the 7th or change to currently available session3 of changing my schedule? If so, any recs for replacement of 85170 (or some fun gened course)
