Given the many requests, here are some things to know when asking "please help me with my username".

✅ Here are some tips to get help from existing users who can browse the forum and check out your username:

1. Remember where/what you posted. If you remember having created or posted in a thread, or commented somewhere specific, it is possible to identify the thread and then run a full-text search inside the thread only, so that the username can be recovered. Try to be more specific: if you used a specific word in your message, it can be used for searching.
2. Remember where you reacted. Reactions are harder because the site paginates them and they must be checked post by post. However, on less popular threads, it is easy to give a list of likes.
3. Provide dates. On long threads, it helps to understand in which page range to look for.
4. Username hints. On the Simps page, it is possible to search by username prefix (e.g., users who start with `abcd...`). Keep in mind that the results are limited to the first 10 items and it is not possible to get a full list.

Ideally, you want to provide multiple hints ("I posted on XYZ a comment containing the word potato in April 2026 and my username starts by Diego") so that the probability of finding your username is maximized.

1. Search by email
2. Search by followed threads (no one can see who you followed)
3. Very generic usernames ("my username begins with 'jon', plz help!!!")
