DMP-A6 Gen 2 Masters Edition mainboard failed at ~7 weeks — offered repair + 2-month warranty extension. Is this normal for Eversolo?
Looking for perspective from other owners before I decide how to proceed.
I bought a DMP-A6 Gen 2 Masters Edition from an authorized dealer in Singapore about 7 weeks ago. Recently the unit stopped detecting any Wi-Fi networks [troubleshooting did: reboots, factory reset, firmware update , nothing worked]. The local service centre diagnosed a faulty mainboard requiring replacement.
Since the unit is under two months old, I asked for a one-to-one exchange rather than having a near-new flagship unit opened up and rebuilt. Eversolo support reviewed the case and declined the exchange, offering the mainboard repair plus a 2-month warranty extension. To be fair, they responded quickly and the discussion is still ongoing — I just find the remedy thin for a unit this new.
Questions for the community:
Has anyone else had Wi-Fi or mainboard failures on a Gen 2 unit?
Has anyone (especially in the EU/US) received a unit swap for an early hardware failure, or is board repair Eversolo's standard remedy everywhere?
If you accepted a board repair, did it hold up long-term? Did you negotiate better warranty terms?
Not here to trash the brand — the unit was genuinely excellent for the weeks it worked, and I'd like to remain an Eversolo customer. Just trying to calibrate my expectations against other owners' experiences.
