Selling my home in Ma (What goes on behind the scenes?)

Hello everyone,

Currently selling my home, we have a buyer who made an offer and we accepted. Buyers did their home inspection and requested us to fix one item which we agreed to. Now we're waiting for the attorneys. What exactly is going on behind the scenes between attorneys? How long does it take the execute the p&s? We were suppose to sign yesterday, but was delayed due to home inspector's schedule. Are there conversations going on between agents that clients don't usually know about?

Will this be an issue for inspection?

Hi everyone,

I'm located in MA. I'm selling my home and have my home inspection tomorrow. Home is fairly new (2 years old), and I'm selling it. The buyer is doing their inspection tomorrow and of course something happens. I was watering my grass today, and went into my basement and saw a huge puddle in the basement (water spigot broke/failed). I cleaned up the puddle and I'm currently drying the area with a shop fan and dehumidifier, and I have a plumber coming to fix the issue before the home inspection.

My question is, will a buyer be spooked from seeing the damp spot on the basement floor? I don't want to hide anything and rather be transparent, because I'm pretty sure the buyers are first time home buyers.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but I just feel like I have terrible luck with the timing of things.

Follow up with HM or is recruiter busy?

Hi everyone,

Recruiter A, from company A, reached out to me and scheduled an initial interview on March 27th, it went well and recruiter A, then scheduled a 2nd interview for me to speak with the HM on 4/1 and that also went very well. After that, a recruiter B, from company A, reaches out and schedules my 3rd interview with company A, and its a panel interview on 4/13 & 4/14. A week goes by (it is now 4/21) and I follow up with recruiter B. I get no response, so on Friday, 4/24, I follow up with recruiter A, and i get an automatic response that they are out for all of that week.

So Yesterday, (4/27) I didn't reach out, because I'm thinking recruiter A just got back from being OOO and recruiter B could have been out as well. Should I follow up with the HM at this point or soon? Or just let it go? Should the recruiters have reached out by now?

Hi all,

I want to get your opinion or input. I'm selling my home, and I finished my attic space (when I bought it, it was a new construction, and had electrical up there and lights). I basically finished the attic space (everything up to code and have videos and pictures of everything) and did insulation, ventilation, sheetrock and added outlets and mini split.

Now I'm selling my home and want to know will anyone say anything and if they do, what can be done? Should I get a retroactive permit now or wait to see if anyone says anything?

UPDATE: So, I went ahead and got a permit. No tearing up the attic, no removing anything. Thankfully it went well. All I can say, is if you plan to do any work, do EVERYTHING up to code and take detailed pictures of your work. Now everyone is happy.
