Weird eye pattern on Marvel omnibus
I’ve been collecting DC omnibuses and comics for years, but decided to hop over to Marvel for the hype behind Doomsday. I started on this New Avengers by Bendis Vol 1 omnibus that I found on Facebook. I paid $150 for it. I noticed right away that the eye is opening super narrow and the cover of the spine is creasing in ways I’ve never seen before. Then I noticed these weird ribbons near the mull. Is this normal with Marvel omnibuses or is this some sort of amateur rebind?
Edit: I have seen other posts here about the eye being stretched vertically, but this is the first time I’ve seen an Omni spine crease. I was mostly curious as the whether this looked like a rebind, due to the weird ribbons following down the spine and the crappy looking glue job. I realize now that I could have titled this post better.
