Artificial Body Temperature 36.7°C

Content warning: Manhua tackles such topics as sexual violence, classism, misogyny. Besides that, it features depiction of death and blood.

While Artificial body temperature was baihe manhua I started reading last year, it has quickly became my favorite. To give quick synopsis; Su, woman born in prison, had waited her entire life to see a ''crow'' due to promise her mother gave her. During the time she was going to get secretly executed, a bunch of robots were given to prison for test run, one of them being Gill. Going beyond her programing, and developing a mind of her own, Gill starts falling for Su. Now, both of them want to fly out of the prison they're kept in by eachother's side.

Semi-spoilers ahead!

>!in all honesty artificial body temperature approaches the topic of androids in kinda unique, atleast to me, way, with concentrating more on how would humans behave if given a thing that looked and behaved like humans, and there would be no concequences for whatever they will do to it. One thing I have to say that it can be kinda edgy (unsure if it correct way to say it) at times (first example that came to my mind was Lilith's backstory. Overall, I think it is a great story, with main characters that I hoped the best for.!<

Author reccomendation: 时微月上/Shi Wei Yue Shang

In recent months, I had found a baihe author that works I absolutly adore and want to reccomend it to others. She's rather wellknown in cn scene, but she's unknown in eng scene, so I hope by bringing attention to her, more people will get interested in her novels ^^

时微月上 (Pinyin; Shi Wei Yue Shang, eng; As the Crescent Moon Rises) is a baihe author who had been writing since 2015. She slowly build up audience with her historical novels, until she got famous for her unlimited flow baihe, 玩家请就位/Players, please take your positions, which remains to be the most popular unlimited flow baihe to this day.

In total, SWYS has 14 novels (12 completed and 2 upcoming). If I had to reccomend which novels should someone who is new to her writing should check out, I would say:

- 玩家请就位/Players, please take your positions: Her most famous work in general. Unlimited flow novel with heavy horror elements, which are mix of paranormal horror and what I would call realistic horror (aka, it touches on cruelty that happens in real life).

- 降龙诀/Dragon Subjugation Incantation: It is a Xianxia novel about a woman who ends up getting transmigrated into protagonist's cannon fodder shizun, who meets terrible fate at her hands. Now, her job is to prevent the protagonist-discipline from destroying the world and change her fate. Oh, and also, the discipline in question is a dragon and the og! shizun and her sect worked on wiping out dragons, due to human-dragon war, so good luck.

- 把酒话桑麻/Let's wine and talk about farms: Her most popular historical novel. A sweet novel which concentrates on lives of everyday folks, after a woman from today's age get transmigrated into the past.

When it comes to licensing, so far:

- 玩家请就位/Players, please take your positions: Audio drama (season 1 and 2 can officially be found on fanjiao), maindland print, taiwanese/hong kong print

- 今宵酒醒/Sober up tonight (modern, about two women in arranged marriage, where one of them ends up falling for other after being reborn): Audio drama (can officially be found on fanjiao)

- 穿书之浮梦三生/Fleeting dream of three lifetimes (historical novel, about novel character that got reborn x transmigrator): Audio book (can officially be found on fanjiao)

Things regarding SWYS writing:

Rebirth and transmigration: One of her most used elements in her novels. She mostly uses rebirth/time transmigration (character dies and returns to some point in their past), but there are few novels with transmigration into a novel (such as in her 'Dragon Subjugation Incantation' novel). One of her novels, 穿书之浮梦三生, has both transmigration and rebirth, with one character being transmigrator into a novel and the other being a novel character that was reborn.

Happy endings, 1v1: All, except one novel, features happy ending for the characters and the pair, with some being even tagged as sweet romance.

The pairings and characters: One of most common way SWYS describes her pairs is 'perfectly matched'. Most of them are written to be opposites to eachother. Alot of characters can be seen described having a facade, while in truth being different.

Writing: SWYS very much loves to use poems and old books in her writing. Her username even comes from one, specifically, it is quoting part of 故人寄茶 by 曹邺. She uses parts of quotes in various ways, with most famous one being that the name of two leads in 玩家请就位 come from the same poem (萧暮雨/Xiao Muyu and 沈清秋/Shen Qingqiu), which ends up being important later on.
