[OH] Medicaid for 4 months - Worth it?

My financial situation just changed temporarily, and for the next 4 months, I can probably qualify for Medicaid. I don't have any insurance right now (long story), but I will be able to apply for the marketplace for January 2027. At that time, my income will be such that I won't qualify for Medicaid.

My question is, is it worth it to get benefits for just the rest of this year (Sept - Dec)? It seems like a big hassle (I tried filling out the application, and there were just a lot of questions that were difficult for me to answer because my income isn't steady) to fill out the application and then cancel the Medicaid at the end of the year (which I would need to do in order for it not to mess up my chances of getting the marketplace benefits).

I'm in my 50s but am healthy and have no medical issues that require meds or anything like that. I go to the doctor only about once or twice a year for maybe a sinus infection or the flu, for antibiotics. I'm wondering if it's just worth it for me to take my chances and pay out of pocket if I need something like this for the next 4 months.

Since I've never been on Medicaid, I just don't know if it's worth it for that short a time span.

Issues with pages/post using Wordpress template (not on Wordpress hosted site)

I have a website (not hosted by WordPress) where I am using a very old WordPress template (Twenty Sixteen). It's worked fine until now. I tried going into a page I created to edit it, and when I clicked on the block that I wanted to edit, I got an error message reading, "This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed." The same thing happens with posts when I try to go in and edit them.

I've emailed my web host to see if they can help, but haven't received a response yet. I understand that using an old template is a problem, but I don't use my website in the way that most businesses use it. I'm an author so my website is mostly a place for readers to find out more about me, but I don't sell from the website (readers go to whatever book platform, like Amazon or Barnes & Noble, they shop at to buy my books. But I do have a blog there and information pages on all my books with links to the book sites, so it's important that it works.

Playing around with it a bit, it seems like if I go into Code Editor, I can edit the content of the block, as it does preview it, as long as I don't mess up the HTML coding. So I'm not sure why I can't edit the block in Visual Editor mode.

Any suggestions on what might be going on and how I can fix it? Or am I totally screwed and the only option is for me to use a new template (which would mean readjusting the whole website since the layout would be different from what I'm using)? I get it that I should be using an updated template, and it's on my to-do list, but, frankly, I just don't have the time for it right now, and I don't have the money to hire a web developer to do it.

Tips on first time fermenting

I want to try fermenting my own veggies and have been doing my homework. Right now, I'd like to go small and try one thing first (red onions - because that's what I have). I'm keeping it super basic for now with just a 32-oz mason jar with a metal lid, natural spring water, and natural sea salt. I don't have glass weights, but I did buy a bag of glass pebble thingies from Walmart, and I read I can make a makeshift weight by putting them in a ziplock bag and placing the bag on top of the veggies to weigh them down.

I keep reading all kinds of horror stories about food poisoning and mold and jars exploding. I've got a basic recipe to use, and I know that I need to burp the jar since I'm using regular mason lids every day (which isn't a problem, as I work from home). I read that I could screw the lid on loosely so as not to need to burp it, but that would also allow for air to come in, and it's riskier that way. Since I'm a total novice, I'd rather not risk that.

Is there anything special I should know about fermenting red onions (sliced, of course), since it's not the typical veggie people usually ferment, so there isn't a whole lot of information on it?

Also, how much do weather conditions matter? I live in Ohio, and the humidity is pretty high here right now (it can get up to 55%). Plus, I live in an old house (built in the 1950s) with very poor insulation (I rent), and so it gets quite hot in the kitchen, as it has 3 pretty big windows (I actually love that kitchen). How might that affect the fermentation process? And can I put the jar inside some kind of large bowl so that if it does explode, at least the mess won't be quite as bad?

I'm trying to get some guidance here regarding my condo, which is currently on the market. I'm running into a complex situation, and now I'm looking to sell the house to an investor.

Background: The property is in the Bay Area, a condo that is currently tenant-occupied (2 roommates, one going on his 3rd year, the other one moved in since February). One of the tenants is a protected tenant (a teacher). A buyout is not an option (by me, that is. That doesn't mean the tenants won't agree to one, as I have not approached them and will not. I get it that this complicates things for me, but I feel strong about this, and I won't budge from this position.) The condo is not under city rent control, and the tenants are paying market value rent.

I have an agent handling the property sale, and we've had open houses since January. The gist is that buyers like the property but are not willing to take on the tenant issue (given the strict CA laws). The buyer pool so far has been owner-occupied, so I get it that they aren't willing to take the risk. We have reduced the price twice, but no go. So the price is not the issue (for owner-occupying buyers, that is)

My goal is to sell the property by the end of the year (and the end of the summer, if possible). I am not actually an investor. The property was given to me, and while of course I would like as much as is fair on the property, it's not a matter of recouping an investment.

Because of these things, I know that the property will likely sell only to an investor, and I want to work with my agent to market that pool. She doesn't seem to have much experience in this area. She is part of an investor group and has revised the listing to try to appeal more to investors. I do have a listing agreement active with her, so I don't want to dump her, but I wouldn't anyway, as I am out of state and would still want a professional handling the paperwork and the deal representing me.

So my question is, how can I go about reaching investors who might be interested in this property? I recognize that I'm going to need to sell it at a price that will appeal to investors and that means leaving money on the table (possibly 20%-30%), and I'm prepared to do that.

I've been doing a bit of research on this (transparency here - I have used AI tools for this as well), and so far, I see that my options would be going with a company or platform that does cash offers (not necessarily a "we buy houses" kind of place). I also understand I can do an off-market sale to make the property more enticing to investors (using online platforms and other resources).

Am I getting all that straight? Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to how my agent and I can go about this? I'm just a bit lost as to where to begin. I'm not in touch with Bay Area investor networks since, as I said, I'm not an investor (and, frankly, have no desire to be - which is why I'm selling the rental and getting out).

Any advice on where to begin would be much appreciated!

ETA: I have not yet told my real estate agent I'm looking at these options, as I'm exploring possibilities only for now. We just reduced the price a second time last week, so I'm letting it ride for another week to see what kind of responses we get and looking at my options in the meantime. If I decide to go another route, I will let her know and ask her to continue to represent me. So I'm not trying to cut her out or go over her head. I'm just trying to do some research on my own at this point.
