Considering school for Cath lab tech

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice from people who have experience in either field.
I already have my AA and have been working toward an ASN in nursing, but I’ve been waitlisted for my school’s nursing program twice. Because of that, I’m starting to consider other healthcare careers.
I recently applied to my school’s Cath Lab program and was wondering if anyone here has gone that route instead of nursing—or even completed nursing school and then transitioned into the cath lab.
Looking back, are you happy with your decision? Do you wish you had chosen nursing instead, or do you prefer working in the cath lab? I’d love to hear about your experiences, including job satisfaction, work-life balance, pay, and career growth.

Are my nails okay?

I start my phlebotomy internship at a hospital tmrw. They never said anything about nails and my professor never said anything during class either. Do we think these are okay? They are builder gel on real nail.

Update: no one has said a thing about my nails and I’ve done 6 blood draws today

Starting phlebotomy clinicals

Hi everyone! I completed the lecture portion of the phlebotomy course, now it’s time for clinical. Wednesday I start at a hospital and will be there M-F for three weeks. I have to finish my 100 pokes. Is there any tips you’d like to share? What was your experience training in a hospital setting? I’m going in completely blind I feel like.
