Ordered a Flipper - Terrible Mistake.

I ordered a Flipper Zero a couple of weeks ago. I run a large family-owned business in which IT infrastructure / network security has always been reactive. Someone gets phished - we hire someone to clean up and fix the vulnerability. I wanted to start taking a more proactive take / start learning more about IoT devices, so I ordered an M5Stack and a Flipper Zero.

The M5Stack was a wonderful purchase. $30 and works great.

I opened my package shipped directly from Flipper Zero a week or so after I received it. Inside of the box was the Flipper Zero packaging. I flipped it over, and the seal had already been cut. I opened the box, and there was a loose screen protector inside, and the Flipper Zero. I pulled it out and noticed scratches / fingerprints on the screen. I figured maybe it's just the way these things come. You can't really see scratches on plastic screens when the device is operating anyways.

I installed Momentum; powered it up; and found a bunch of broken pixels in the bottom right corner of the screen. Some minor scratches / dirt are one thing, actual damaged / broken pixels is unacceptable. I reached out to Flipper Support. What an absolute joke.

I've been messaging back and forth with these jokers for two weeks now. "Can you send a video of the problem?". "Can you send a picture of the serial number?". "Can you take the flipper out of the box and take pictures / video of it?". All reasonable. Annoyingly sent in single emails every two days for a week of unecessary back and forth.

Today, I get to work, open my inbox. Case has been closed by Flipper Zero. Customer support agent emails me asking why it took me two weeks to reach out to support.

I'm giving them another day or two to do the right thing, but wanted to warn new users about this. Sending used electronics to customers as new is not only unethical, but against the law. It's one thing if the vendor acknowledges their mistake - it's another when they purposely try to avoid picking up / refunding the damaged / used device they shipped out as new by making it so tedious and impossible through an endless stream of nitpicky emails. I'll be filing a chargeback and a complaint with the California DCA board otherwise.

I strongly recommend ordering another device elsewhere. M5stack has been killing it with devices that offer the same level of functionality for a fraction of the price (I have no relation to M5stack, but did purchase one of their devices - which turned out for me much better than my $200 flipper zero "investment" did).

If you have any questions, feedback, or advice on how to resolve, I'd greatly appreciate it. Companies should be judged by how they react to adverse situations - clearly, Flipper Zero either has some serious QC / training issues, or simply would rather pawn off used / damaged returned goods illegally at the expense of their customer. Not a good look!
