Legacy RIP Software

I'm working on documenting and hosting RIP related technology files. Really having a hard time finding various versions of RIPTerm, RIPaint, etc.

In particular if anyone has a working installer or zip for RIPTerm 2.2 or 2.3 and could reach out, I'd appreciate it. Similar for RIPaint 2.2 or 3.x.

Aside: It's amazing how much legacy BBS related software is just gone now. I've spent the past couple days trying to (re)aquire tools that I just took for granted would "always" be available online and they're just not there. I wish I had done this a decade, or more ago when I had the chance.

Edit: For reference, I'm working on documenting, including (re)construction of 3.x documentation. I'm missing what came from 2.1/2.2 from 3.x though.

For example: https://github.com/bbs-land/remote-imaging-protocol/blob/main/version/3.x/ripscrip/README.md

List of Othernets

Does anyone have a good reference for active FTN style networks?

I'm just wanting to pick a net number that's not in active use. Preferably 45, 38, 22 or 1022 not sure how high the net numbers can go.

But would be nice if I could find such a list. QWKnet would be cool too... But out of my current scope.

I want to like the Cosmic FM, but it's just more annoying than not. TBH, I really wish I could have Windows 7's file manager, which was IMO peak usability. Maybe adding tabs and/or a split view.

My biggest issue is that it doesn't seem to remember what I set it to in terms of sorting, etc. It seems to try to sort most recent at the top, which makes it almost impossible to find anything that isn't the most recent. Beyond this, the fact that I can't set/rearrange the shortcuts on the left leaves a lot to be desired. Navigation to the Desktop from an open FM window is just painful.

And lastly, the navigation strip in windows, where you can just type a path in, or click up a directory hierarchy is really useful... with some level of autocomplete it could be great. If I could type: ~/src/gith<tab>/..., or type in an smb:// or cifs:// path and have it auto-mount, or even just transparently connect. Similar for ftp/sftp/ftps/ftpes addresses in the box.

The UX for archives definitely leaves a LOT to be desired... it took me a while to figure out... actually virtually browsing into an archive and being able to drag/drop or copy/paste in/out of an archive, or even just out, would be a lot more intuitive than that extract selection that doesn't hint at all, and leaves you wondering WTF.

I'm happy to keep peaking in to see how it starts developing, but for now, I just need something a bit less annoying overall and am open to suggestions.
