should I get the pixel 10a?
Hi everyone!
I’m currently using a Realme 9 Pro+ and have been using it for over 3 years now. My phone has gotten slow and laggy and the camera is not great, so I'm looking to get a new phone.
My budget is under ₹50,000 INR (slightly stretchable), and I plan to keep my next phone for at least 4 years, and more if possible.
My requirements include:
- I want a great camera, both front and back. I click a lot of photos and occassionally post on instagram/social media so the camera must be reliable
- Good battery life (I'm a college student so I use my phone for everything; a lot of texting, calling, clicking pics and videos, scrolling, etc etc)
- Clean UI and OS, no unnecessary apps or bloatware
- Good speakers/ microphones (I speak on calls a lot and so the mic must be great)
I'm not a gamer, although I will potentially use my phone to edit some reels or do some light photo/video editing.
For my requirements, is the pixel 10a the right choice? I recently came across a bunch of reddit posts from Indian users saying that it heats up a lot, and if you "get a bad piece" you'll regret it. Some people also said that the battery is horrible and the camera is flickery and unreliable.
Most of the reviews I'm reading are positive, and all the Indian tech youtubers have only good things to say about it. It's only a handful of reddit users which are disappointed with their 10a. Should I go for the 10a or perhaps look into nothing phones instead? I'd also be willing to look at the iphone 17e but I'm an android fan and I like having the ultrawide camera.
I'd appreciate any recommendations or insights, thanks!
