A teacher I’m acquainted with mentioned her dad bought her and her BF’s $1.5M apt

And clarified it was paid in cash 9 years ago, but “because he’s Jewish” (she’s adopted) he makes her and her bf pay $2k a month in rent. She was super crossfaded at the time and weirdly aggressive towards me after she pressed me and my bf about our rent budget.

Kinda warped my perspective when I meet people with normal jobs in a major city.
