Needs Advice: giving up as a tutor

It's been 3 years and counting since I became an online tutor, my account is already 3 years old since starting, but I have been busy with my own personal life and career. I have never taken Preply seriously, though I have countless messages from students... a few of them are really eager to subscribe, and I canceled because the timing was off: career shifts, personal struggles, being sick, etc... from the past years. Now I finally took time, I have secured 2 trial lessons and really prepared and tailored everything only to be: 1. cancelled (basically ghosted me last minute) 2. had a good talk but she just basically chatted me because shes a tutor as well (wanted to shift to another niche, and she booked for the reasons to gain info to have business english as well... basically a competitor.)

I know it sounds silly, but it has weighed heavily on me lately, because I do attract students organically, but the timing is always off, Idk if it's just me or my own circumstances. I know some tutors find it months to even land a student, but I really feel bad on my own teaching journey because I always chase the wrong things: bad students, lower rate, repetitive tasks, and no career growth from agents and companies I have worked with previously. I always wanted to do private tutoring. I already know how uncertain it is, but I always kept in mind that I am "coaching," not teaching, since I teach Business English and Exam Prep. It just makes me question if teaching, I don't know what intention I am asking for by posting this, maybe something to get off my chest idk.
