Streamer and Turntable with Integrated Amp
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
I currently have a turntable (no preamp) connected to a Kenwood KA3700 integrated amplifier via the phono preamp stage, per image below.
I would like to add a Streamer to this setup, and am looking at options with a built in DAC like the Cambridge Audio MXN10 or similar.
How do I go about doing this? Can I plug the MXN10 directly into the Aux input on my Kenwood, or would I need a passive preamp with a switcher to be able to send both the turntable and the MXN to the phono preamp stage?
In other words, it's not clear to me if the Tuner and Aux inputs on the Kenwood go through the integrated pre-amp or not. I am guessing that they don't, since there's no ground for them. In that case, should I alternately buy a separate preamp and send both the turntable and the MXN into the Aux inputs?
