Looking for nail tech?? Skin picking issue...

Hey guys, long story short I've been trying to curb a nail biting habit. Problem is, I can't make it more than a few days without caving, but I really want to get acrylic nails to at least deter myself for the first couple of weeks (I've found this helps quit after I let my nails heal for a bit but alas, I'm really having trouble making it that far and haven't been able to for a year or so)

Can anyone recommend a nail tech that works with people who have skin picking conditions? Is this even possible, given sometimes I leave myself with small cuts or abrasions and I imagine this can easily become unsanitary? Am I crazy to even think a professional would do my nails if they are this short/rugged?

Thanks for any input!

Hi all, I have been wanting to start a carpentry career for several years but am afraid to fully commit and not 100% sure what the best avenue is, as I don't have any friends in this field.

The first question is, is it advised to start schooling through ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) or find someone to take you under their wing? Follow up question if the latter is recommended, how do I find a person who is willing to teach someone who is eager to learn? I've applied to several opportunities on Craigslist, followed up, and never heard back or the spot already filled.

Is there anyone in the area who is looking for an apprentice?

Thanks for reading, and a special thanks to anyone with experience who gives advice or input.
