Apple TV on a projector instead of a TV. Trying to figure out the tradeoffs

Lately I’ve been thinking about trying a projector instead of upgrading my TV because I want a bigger screen and more of a theater vibe, especially when friends or family are over.

I’ve looked at some options like the Sony VPL-XW5000, Epson LS12000, and the JMGO N3 Ultimate, but I’m honestly not sure what really matters for everyday use. Has anyone tried Apple TV with a projector? How does HDR or Dolby Vision content look compared to a TV, and do you ever run into glitches, black screens, or audio sync issues when switching content? I’m also curious if there are any settings or calibration tricks to get the best picture without losing color accuracy. Love to hear some actual experiences!
