Planning on taking about 6 months to travel as much as I can in ‘27, I’ve never stayed in a hostel before and I’ve only ever solo travelled once. What’s the skinny on the social situation at hostels? Am I gonna be old af compared to everyone else there? Are people generally welcoming to solo male travelers? I get there’s exceptions to every rule, just looking for broad strokes here.

Got into Tulane for fall ‘27, taking a trip mid July to visit Nola and the school for the first time with my mom, anything we shouldn’t miss out on while we’re there? We’ll be there for 4day 3 night.

I’m a career guy, but in a small town not a busy city. What’s the sleep situation look like on a 24 in a very busy house? How are you guys making it through the next day? Do you like your job?
