St Germain or Le Marais
Hi!
I am traveling to Paris for a week in October from
New York. 36/F and will likely be solo for most of the trip - another friend may join for a few nights.
I’m torn between staying in St Germain or Le Marais (Airbnb). I have been to Paris once before over 10 years ago and enjoyed staying in St Germain. Less interested in the major tourist spots that I’ve already seen and really just want to enjoy Parisian culture, wandering around to shops and restaurants, etc. Definitely plan to enjoy wine and cocktails but more interested in spots where I can chat with others sitting at the bar - less so true nightlife or club culture.
I know I can’t go wrong with either neighborhood and plan to walk between the regardless, but which should I actually stay in?
