Disappointed in Myself

Hello Everyone! After my last post I was doing really well, I had lost a little weight and a lot of inflammation. The last week and a half, I was exhausted and ate like shit. I’m having light pain and acid reflux now. I know that I can get back up on the horse, but I’m just disappointed in myself for falling off course.

I can do this! But it’s hard. 😭

I had a CT scan done for something completely unrelated to my liver. They notated hepatic steatosis with a normal sized liver and a normal gallbladder. They ran bloodwork and all of my liver related tests came back perfectly fine. I also had a primary doctor run labs a month earlier. Same deal, except borderline high LDL. I decided to establish care at another clinic after that meeting with that primary doctor because my town is small af and they didn’t have a way to access your own chart, which is important to me.

However, when I visited the new primary, he explained NAFLD to me and said I needed to make lifestyle changes. But didn’t make it seem serious. Now, I’ve been having some upper right quadrant pain, so I went to review the information on my chart for that visit. He had notated hepatic statohrrea/NASH (idk how to spell it) despite not pulling new labs. Now I’m really afraid I’m on track to Cirrhosis. Especially because my body has been difficult to read after having a (TW) miscarriage in December.

I’m 26 and I’ve been pretty overweight since late 2020. I’m actively making lifestyle changes, but I’m terrified it’s too late because I’m not sure if that was an error on his part or if I have NASH.
