found this so funny 😂😂

found this so funny 😂😂

So graduates will be asking for internships or jobs with such projects on GitHub.. what I find funny is that why would anyone want to know tomorrow's date and they already know today's? I mean is it for people with amnesia😂? Meanwhile , developers with 10 years of experience are being laid down in countries with better economies...so is there hope for this generation? Like even in the age of vibe coding, how do companies rely on people who have no clue about how their systems work? How are you mentoring interns?

what do you think?

I am a software engineer , i work remotely and so i have a lot of free time. I have a unique interest in hardware , talking about raspberry pi's , circuit boards , gpu's and everything in between. I am also a linux geek . I am thinking of offering computer repair services , like motherboard troubleshooting , screen replacement, battery replacement , ram and ssd upgrades , pc building services , software installations ; windows and linux.

The advantage would be convinience as i come to you , and you do not have to go to the workshop worrying the fundis will be selling your laptop or exhanging parts . Another one would be transparency as you can see what i am doing , and lastly , repairs should be cheaper as I do not have any overhead operational costs. However , i am planning on having affiliations with certified repair shops in Nairobi for those who still would want a physical location .

I would also sell second hand , tested ram modules , i know ram prices are crazy right now . I know where to find ddr3 and ddr4 modules, ddr5 are rare and that is the bottleneck. I test the sticks myself and grade them and there is a 100% refund on bad sticks. I also have custom software i have written for testing such hardware components . Its open source on my github bradleymaina under the alias hwcheck(hardware check) it only works on windows plattform , you could use that and are not limited to that.

I already mentioned my love for linux and i am also open for any linux problems and challenges. For enthusiasts , i can share my config files : hyprland , waybar, bluetooth , network and everything in between.

That is the end of my pitch , i would love to hear your feedback on wheather this is something i should persue , if it is something that is needed , suggestions , recommendations and critique.

What do you think about the forex hype this year?

This year, a lot of people who are 25 or younger are showing off luxury lifestyles online, German cars, expensive trips, designer clothes, and fast success. Many of them openly criticize traditional education and use a very provocative style, which is their choice.

What confuses me is this: if they are already genuinely wealthy and successful, why are they so focused on getting people to join their Telegram channels for “free trading signals,” mentorship groups, or similar programs? They seem extremely aggressive about pulling people into those communities.

It makes me wonder whether the business is actually built on successful trading, or if the real money comes from recruiting and monetizing the audience itself. Is this usually sincere, or does it resemble a pyramid style system where the appearance of wealth is mainly used as marketing to attract more people?

I have a problem.

To the techies out there running Arch and dual booting with Windows, how the hell do you do it?

And before anyone says “just use a Mac”, no. I like a bit of chaos in my life.

Anyway, having both OSes on the same SSD is slowly destroying my sanity. Every single Windows update decides it is time to rewrite or nuke my GRUB, and suddenly I cannot boot into Arch, which is my actual daily driver.

So I go the fix it with a live USB route, right? Except now the EFI partition is another problem. Windows insists on that tiny 100MB EFI partition, which is way too small. Between Windows Boot Manager and something like the Zen kernel, everything starts fighting for space.

Then I try to clean it up, delete a few things, and boom, I have somehow wiped Windows boot files too. Now I have no OS, just staring at firmware like I have bricked my machine.

Hours go by trying to recover everything. I just managed to get Arch back, and even then I had to lean on AI in the terminal to patch things up. At one point even Gemini was confused. I burned like 36 percent of my quota just fixing this mess.

Seriously, how is this this hard?

People who run Arch and Windows without losing their minds, what is your setup? How are you avoiding this mess?
