Here’s some pics of my boy in his Muzzle Movement muzzle!! It’s the size Neli, boiled and stretched out a little because it was rubbing on his cheeks. Featuring my tape adjustments and diy head strap + muzzle stop that I made from a cheap leather leash lol. It does ruin the aesthetics of the muzzle but an irritated nose and shipping costs were not worth it haha

Also wanted to encourage others if they’re still working on muzzle training. The first few weeks of just putting his head in and wearing it around the house while I gave treats were great, but once we started taking it outside and tapering down the treats we hit a period where I felt like this was useless and impossible, just money and time wasted on nothing. He would not sniff with the muzzle on, he’d try to paw at it whenever he wanted to sniff something and it went on for weeks. We kept going though, and he recently learned that he can sniff with it on and now behaves like usual on his walks with the muzzle on. So to anyone who’s hit a block or feels like muzzle training isn’t working, don’t worry. Just keep going, and you’ll see that it will work out in the end!:)

Btw- any advice on the fit is appreciated! I’d love to know how I can make it even more comfy for him:)

A question/debate topic since summer is coming up- cooling gear!

I know there’s tons of harnesses and cooling vests and collars and beds out there that *claim* to cool down a dog, but which of these actually works?

Obviously a splash in water, drinking enough, low amount of exercise and shade all help to cool down a dog, but I’m talking specifically about gear (and which gear you should avoid) or things like cooling chews or grooming hacks

Another thing I was wondering is whether you can somehow train your dog to be able to resist heat better- does exposure to heat already help to get them used to it, physically or mentally?
