Hi everyone,

I recently completed the interviews with Apple and had a follow-up call with HR. During the call, they discussed my salary expectations, and walked me through how the compensation package is generally structured.

However, they didn't give me any actual offer or specific numbers. A few compensation figures came up during the conversation, but the recruiter made it clear those were just based on their previous exp and not an indication of my actual package. They also mentioned that the hiring team would take some time to evaluate all of my interview performance before making a decision and numbers.

I'm probably overthinking this, but I'm wondering if this is generally a positive sign or if it's just a standard part of the process. Has anyone who's interviewed with Apple had a similar experience? Did you eventually receive an offer?

I have an Apple Security Engineer interview coming up in a few days and the invite mentions a coding test. I'm trying to figure out what to focus my prep on. Is it more DSA-style (arrays, graphs, dynamic programming etc.) like a typical SWE loop, or Security-oriented (scripting, tooling, exploit code, etc.)?

Also happy to hear any tips on the Apple security interview process like topics and questions that you should brush up and prepare?

This is my first ever big tech interview so I want to go in as prepared as possible. DMs are welcome too if you'd prefer. Any input is genuinely appreciated, thank you!
