My Experience with the XGIMI Z6X Chinese Version

Writing this review as it may help someone. I bought the XGIMI Z6X Chinese version for $180. A friend got it from China, and I've been using it for the last 20 days. Pretty satisfied. The equivalent global version is the XGIMI Elfin Plus, and in my country it was close to $450–$500, so I really got a good deal.

This one is really good. The only thing is that it has Chinese firmware, and we cannot change it. I'm using an IPTV box or Fire Stick, both of which I had previously, so there was no additional investment. Also, I have sideloaded apps on the projector like YouTube and Stremio, which work really well and don't require any OTT subscription, just in case I want to watch movies that aren't available on OTT platforms in my country.

Basic adjustments can be translated using Google Translate, and I got familiar with them within 5–10 minutes. The only adjustment I use frequently is the keystone adjustment; the rest isn't required. Ask me anything if you need any help.

Cars24 kept my ₹15,000 holdback after RC transfer. Worth pursuing?

Sold my car to Cars24 in Sept 2025. They held back ₹15,000 for RC transfer/Party Peshi because I didn't have the original RC.

I later emailed them saying I'd be available for any required formalities and to contact me when needed. Nobody did.

Recently I found that the RC has already been transferred to another person's name.

When I asked for my ₹15,000, Cars24 said:

  • RC transfer is complete
  • They tried contacting me multiple times
  • They used an "alternate arrangement"
  • They spent ₹25,000 on the process
  • My ₹15,000 was adjusted against those expenses

I asked for proof of contact attempts, transfer documents, and proof of expenses. They refused to provide any documents.

I've filed a National Consumer Helpline complaint and am considering e-Daakhil/consumer court.

Has anyone gone through something similar with Cars24? Is it worth pursuing for ₹15,000, or should I just move on?

Also, can RC transfer be completed without the seller appearing for Party Peshi when the original RC wasn't available?

Looking for some budget projector advice from China

Hey all,

I’m looking for a budget projector and wanted some advice.

I’m based in India, and a friend of mine is coming from China soon. I can either order something to his hotel/office there or ask him to buy it locally and bring it back.

Budget is around $200-$260 (20–25k INR)

looking for models that are available in China and are much cheaper there compared to India.
