SMILE Pro 2 months ago still having ghosting issue
I had smile pro a little less than 2 months ago. Had -3 CYL and -1.5 SPH on both eyes. My vision was quite unstable in the first weeks following the surgery but it got eventually better. However, I still deal with a reflection-like artifact beneath the actual object in high-contrast settings such as white text on black or neon lights at dark. The amount of ghost/reflection change as my eyes (or lens?) try to auto-focus.
Things that give me hope that this can still resolve with time:
(1) Putting on drops seems to help a bit but that lasts only half a minute and even then the amount of ghosting only decreases, it doesn't completely disappears.
(2) The problem was more pronounced in the first week so that I'd see the effect also during the day. It got better.
Now my question: can this be due to the decentered treatment? If yes, do I have to live with this or can it be corrected with topo-guided PRK or sth similar? I have about 430 microns of cornea left.
I must also mention that my contrast perception have changed ever since I had the surgery. I notice my floaters more even though I don't see any new ones. I suspect the two issues might be related because I have the ghosting problem as mentioned only at high-contrast situations. Otherwise, I don't see any ghost image in lower-contrast scenes.
