My Turn!
My B&N haul just arrived. Had some Visa Gift Cards from my birthday in May so was able to get a nice number.
1. What is the movie you plan to watch from your purchase first?
No guarantees but probably Desperate Living. Been slowly going through the Waters movies and that’s next up.
2. Is there anything from this purchase that you have been looking forward to owning for a long time?
Both Desperate Living and Hairspray for sure. But the real answer here is the Mulholland Drive 4K. Without a doubt the movie I’ve owned the most copies of over the years and I’ve been putting off upgrading for a while, usually chasing new hotnesses. But delighted to have finally grabbed it.
3. Are any of your purchases blind buys? If so, why did you select them?
Desperate Living, Paris Texas, Godzilla vs. Biollante and Birth are all blinds. Desperate Living as I’m picking up all the Waters movies as they come. Paris Texas is one I’ve been hearing about for years and years and never got to. Godzilla vs. Biollante because I nabbed the Godzilla Showa Era Box Set last year and have been enjoying the heck out of it. And Birth as it’s the one Glazer film I’ve yet to see, having loved his others.
4. What is a Criterion you're hoping to add to your collection next?
No obvious clear choice, but Thief 4K almost made my basket this time so that’s a possible one. Also have some other Lynch films that I’d like to upgrade so they’re always on the table.
