I’m looking at buying a 1986 F-250 with the 6.9 IDI. Im reasonably mechanically inclined but by no means an expert on old trucks. I’ve been wanting an older truck for a while and have found these to be reasonably cheap and kind of cool. It has 123,000 miles, 2wd, they’re asking $14k, rust free, and from what I’ve seen two small dents. Interior is in nearly perfect condition. I know they’re slow but really just looking for a cool old truck to cruise around town in every once in a while. Are these generally good trucks? Anything I need to look out for? Thanks.
