Officer application advice

Hi everyone,

I'm 17 going into my second year of a levels, and it's starting to come up to where I need to make some decisions regarding what I'm going to do next year. Going to soon be starting the process of my officer application for YO27 intake hopefully. Have a few questions/advice if anyone is willing to answer.

So currently weight is sat at 70kg at 178cm. Am worried this may be too light for loaded marches etc and the general demands of training just being 5kg over the minimum. Physically, I'm quite capable as I'm a swimmer on my national team, but the heavy marches etc are making me question whether I weigh enough. I find it very hard to put on weight with the amount of training swimming takes also.

Also, what are the odds of actually getting in at 18 without a degree? Academically I got 3 a*, 3a, and 6B at gcse, and I'm predicted A*A distinction in my a levels. I have a fair bit of life experience having been away on international camps and competitions etc. Ideally I'm trying to avoid uni as it hss never really interested me also the debt etc. I'm aware that my odds are lower without a degree but thought it's still worth a shot.

I was an NCO in the royal marines cadets for a while, and also wondered if this is worth including in my application, obviously not mentioning it to the training team lol, but just in the application.

Thanks in advance
