I'm looking up preloved Garmin watch(Fenix) on Marketplace. The deal looks decent, but don't want to regret it later on.

For those of you who frequently buy or sell used gear in the community, what is your go-to routine for checking if a Garmin is authentic on the spot?

Any quick red flags and software checks I should look for would be a huge help. Thank you
