For anyone considering the digital upgrade this is an amazing deal.
You're getting a module(td-27), 3 digital instruments, and 2 crashes (14' and 16'). I know its a last gen module but this is a crazy good deal. I paid a little more than this and i only have the module, snare, and ride.
add a couple of pads and stands and you have a complete kit that is REALLY good.
Did this mod today. Been wanting to do this so I could clean up the look of my kit and make the cables exactly as long as my setup needs. Also I have 2 of 3 digital components and plan to get the 3rd(hi hats) eventually so I currently don’t use 3 of them growing to 5 with the hats. For some reason all those cables to nowhere drive me crazy and I prefer this.
Anyone else done something like this?
VAD 316 with a TD 27 module upgrade. I have the first gen digital snare, and the ride. Definitely plan on getting the hats eventually. Waiting on the tom mount to arrive so I can use the original snare pad as a floor tom and have a 2 up 2 down configuration. I am going to put the middle pad in the picture on the left side of the snare under crash one, Then put the 12 inch pad where it is now. I absolutely love this kit. The triggering is amazing, and the playability is second to none. Mainly use it with SD3 or ED3. Once we eventually move and I have more space I plan to upgrade to larger cymbals, and a couple more.
I had a Simmons sd 1200 before this and I wouldn’t recommend that kit at all, but this one is amazing.
Mostly alphabetized. I have another smaller one as well. Once I get another shelf and make some space I will do the same with all of my DVD’s.
My dad built this collection and when he passed away in 2023 I was very overwhelmed will all of his movies, and sound system. I am very happy to say that I managed to get it all moved and hooked back up.(7.1) ❤️ I haven’t added any movies to it yet, but i am going to start soon enough.
