Petunia *Evans raises Harry Potter
How would Harry's character, personality, and story as a whole change if Petunia Evans raised him? In this scenario she never married Vernon and never had Dudley. She raises Harry with love instead of abuse, but she's still struggling with her sister's death and with the wizarding world that killed her and that she can never be part of. Would he turn out differently?
I also need to decide how and when she dies, and how that would affect him, since she'd be his maternal figure. I want her to be present when Harry talks to his parents, Sirius, and Remus while holding the Resurrection Stone, so she'd have to die before then. Should she die in the war? I was thinking about choosing the Battle of the Seven Potters but how would a Muggle even take part in it, unless Death Eaters specifically tracked her down? And wouldn't Harry have already lost enough that night (Hedwig, Moody, George's ear)?
