Marbles I've Found Over the Years

I've been finding marbles since I was a child, beginning with the blue Bennington that I scratched out of the ground with a twig under a large old oak tree (now long gone) on the east lawn of my grade school forty years ago. Since then I've kept them when I've found them--sometimes clearly modern but some pretty interesting older ones have popped up over the years. I don't really know much about them but my found marb collection is one of my most treasured possessions. Let me know if anybody sees anything interesting or something they want more pics of...

Monument Cleaning

Hopefully this doesn't sound like self-promotion. My wife and I clean tombstones as something between a hobby and public service. We use patience, care and very gentle methods (water and soft brushes) to remove dirt, lichen and biological staining. If you've got a loved one buried in Lawrence, or in Douglas or surrounding counties whose grave you'd like to see cleaned up, DM me with their name and whatever other info you've got (birth and/or death dates, cemetery or county of burial, etc) and we will try to get to them. Even if you don't have all the info, we can likely find your person. Folks in Oak Hill Cemetery are likely to get attention sooner as we're pretty close by, but we will travel to nearby counties, rural cemeteries, etc. Maybe you moved away and haven't been able to get back, maybe great-great-great-grandma's inscription is illegible. Maybe you do visit often and would just like to see it spruced up a bit. We will be careful, respectful and gentle, and we can send you photos if you like. Haha I know I sound like a salesman, but this is totally free of charge and just something we enjoy doing and would like to share with this community. If you're interested, please do DM.

Vick's Place (now Mass Street Music)

I found this photo in a flea market. The building is now Mass Street Music, at 14th and Mass. The back has some notation for a photo collection or museum, and has "ethnic diversity; also business and industry" in penciled cursive. I seemed to remember folks had been enjoying the local history posts lately.

I think I've identified the clothesline zone at my newest permission, and pulled this token yesterday. It's super thin--at first I thought it was the inner seal from a modern bottle. I'm stumped by U.C.C.P.C., I see examples online but nothing too convincing as to who the issuer was. Figured I'd post a pic to add it to the record. Found in Kansas in a yard that has given up a lot of 30's-50's coins and relics. Has anybody else found these?
