What's Dusty May's WAR (Wins Above Replacement)?
WAR (Wins Above Replacement) is really a complex, player centric stat but now that the majority of the roster that would soak up the majority of minutes have declared they are coming back...
How many of our wins were primarily based on Dusty, his specific coaching, his game plan or specific plays against the opponent? Does having Boyton coach this year cost us 4-5 games that we would win if Dusty was coaching?
Example: If Boyton coached last year's team, do they go 37-3 (19-1) or does the 'replacement' of May cost you 4-5 wins?
Boyton is younger than May and was responsible for the defense last year, although fired from Oklahoma State he took that job at age 35 and has probably learned a ton since then.
