workers comp

on 5/15 i got a deep (but small) cut on my thumb while on the clock and was sent to urgent care after filing a report with my leadership. i got stitches and we did all the paperwork. i returned to work (pfds department so pretty physically intensive) for the next few shifts with basically no accommodations. the stitches are now reopening and have been since like 3-4 days ago. i want to go to urgent care but i am scheduled to work tomorrow and cannot make it tonight. do i still need to take time off from my balances? or does workers comp make any diff? my case is still open and i emailed the case manager half an hour ago but im not hopeful. i asked my store leadership and they just said its not a serious injury so i just have to use my balances?? idk

nails

pfds girlie here who desperately wants to escape but cant for now….a really special day is coming up and i was thinking of getting gel nails (just polish on natural short nails). ive worked food service jobs before (boh) and they never allowed even just nail polish but i forgot whole foods’ policy? i never touch anything without gloves (always double gloved too). my team leadership has had painted nails before too but my TL has written me up over BS so i wouldnt really count on that lol. before anyone comes at me about hygiene and cleanliness and calls me a bimbo who shouldnt be working with food ill have u know IDGAF abt what u think🤣 theres much MUCH worse shit going on
