Its time for a project that needs more than a multimeter, am looking for some strong opinions.

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had any strong opinions on any particular dev boards or oscilloscopes. I intend to make some mods for my audio mixer, probably powered by the befaco chiki power. Bread boards aren't cutting it but I also do not think the scale of a full EE scope and power bank will be required. I am staying within +/-12V.

I took a peek at the Erica Synths EDU Labor and I do not think I will be using all of its features as I am a bit more guitar-pedal focused and need more pots rather than signal generators, but I have seen a few on Tindie and was wondering if anyone has a dev board they like from the sellers there?

Does anyone have any strong opinions on the Korg NTS-2 for a scope as well? It seems right up the alley of this kind of project where I am still in audio domain and at most I will be testing stereo pairs.

Starting this project is still a few months out so I have time to go shopping, I was just wondering if anyone has any strong opinions one way or another on measurement equipment.

Thank you all for your time and happy tinkering!

Pd entirely closes when I click on another box for pix_film

Hi All,

This one's weird: I have a basic video player using pix_film/pix_texture and occasionally click between 2 other "open" file paths to open a new MP4 to play back. Except each time I click a new file to open, PD entirely closes. Has anyone seen this before and have any pointers?

Here's my patch: https://imgur.com/a/aaO2ICH

I am on Ubuntu 26.04 and installed PD through the app center(which should be the apt repository) and am running on 0.56.2. Gem seems to be rendering just fine, installed through sudo apt.

I literally have no errors to share with you all because all of PD closes, including the console. Entirely nuked from orbit from the process manager. When I load the first MP4, there are no issues in the console.

Thank you all greatly for your time!

Are there any elektroid users here trying to get syntakt samples onto their devices on Linux?

Hi All!

I tried to install elektroid to get samples onto my syntakt after updating successfully and do not see "samples" as an option for dropdown. I installed the flatpak and the apt repository versions and got nothing. Is anyone else having any luck?

I can see the github repo has been updated more recently than the flatpak to add for syntakt samples so it looks like ya boi is compiling from source if others can corroborate.

Thank you all in advance. Tis the life of refusing to use windows.
