I’ve been seeing a lot of discussions lately on birth months, and how early birthdays dominate.

Thought this was interesting of this years round 1

- zero January birthdays
- 3 of top 10 picks have Dec birthdays
- 1st overall pick Gavin McKenna has a December bday
-9/32 picks born between September and December
- 18 picks born 1st half of the year, and 14 picks born 2nd half
- March and June most popular birth months with 6 picks each.

Just thought this was interesting as the early birthdays don’t seem to dominate as much as expected. At least for round 1 picks.

My son is 4’4 and weighs 62lbs. He’s mostly legs, and very skinny. Every bat calculator I put his info in says he needs either a 28 or 29 inch bat. If I do the bat test where I put the knob at the middle of his chest, he’s more like a 26 or 27. If I do the hip test he’s a 28.

He’s on the weaker side of a swing, so I’m worried a 28 will be too heavy, unless I go -11.

Any thoughts?
