‘I think, therefore I am’ seems like a trap in the Gnostic sense.
By placing the encompassing identity of your being as; your consciousness, personality, individuality, etc. (foregoing the basic agitators of existence via our meatsuits and dumb emotion-having brains) you are straying further and further from the totality that is the Pleroma with each recognition of self, where although such things might possibly exist - there would be no need for such things and certainly no desire or want for such. I considered a slight alteration in the form of ‘We think, therefore we are’ but again, logically, there is no such need for identification so even altering the statement is moot.
Thoughts? My apologies if this has been discussed already.
