Thoughts on the finale

Might be a little late but I have been seeing a lot of talk about this maybe being one of the best endings of all time and I just don't see it.

There was a lot of good but I was just left kind of disappointing for a lot of it.

My biggest disappointment was the 7 pillars. Like this was the biggest mystery, trying to figure out who they were and what they would do or what would happen when they are together. Most of them did nothing.

What was up with the sixth. The kid literally did nothing. His guardian got more screen time. It feels like Haijima was also forgotten.

The sister had a good backstory, interesting powers, and connections to some of the characters and she didn't do anything.

Inca also felt like an afterthought. After her introduction she was basically wasted.

Then we have Amaterasu who was probably the biggest disappointment. We barely got any time with her backstory and that's it. Heck even the fact Iris was her doppelganger was barely acknowledged.

Now most of the main cast also didn't do much in the final season. Heck the white clads had a bunch of characters that would have been perfect to have had a final showdown with the good guys (Tamaki vs Inca, Sister, vs Maki/Iris, etc)

Don't get me wrong I think they did a great job linking it to Soul eater and I enjoyed Shinra's final fight (Loved that he got to live his life and didn't end up sacrificing himself like every hero does nowadays) but it just felt like it didn't deliver in some ways.

$62 for this???

No effect piece or buddy of course. But just two arms and no leg pieces for an action pose?

It’s sad to see how low goodsmile has fallen and how cutting costs had become their number one priority.
