Couple of questions

I bought Run8 a week or so ago and was at the edge of rage-quitting for the most part of it, until I found this post (that's in case some stumbles upon this thread in the future). Eventually I got the hang of it and I'm loving every second!.

Now, about those 2 questions... When setting up random AI traffic, after I select the spawn point and the spawn type, let's assume Unit Grain, should I manually add my symbols if I want the trains to spawn, or is there a way/file/addon that I could use?

Second: I found an set of loaded tankers headed to TriClor from Bakersfield, took them there, and picked up the MTYs, tagged for NCC (which I assume it's an off-the-map destination, would love to know how to check that). Once I return the MTYs to Bakersfield, how do I get the AI to take the train off map?

Question from a first-time user

Hi everyone,

I've just installed Frigate on Hyper-V, mainly to evaluate how useful it could be for my use case. I run a small CCTV monitoring center in my hometown, and if the testing goes well, I'd like to propose deploying a Frigate server to management.

So far, I've added a few cameras and have object detection working with very little effort, which has been impressive. My primary goal is for Frigate to capture snapshots of passing vehicles so operators can quickly cross-reference them with footage from the existing NVRs. In other words, I don't need Frigate to record video, just perform detections and generate snapshots.

I'm curious about what other features I could take advantage of. Ideally, I'd like to classify vehicles by color, and I've experimented a bit with classifications by adding tags and training a classifier. Since I'm currently running on CPU-only detection, I haven't had the opportunity to try any of the more advanced models, so I'd love to hear what's available and what people have had success with.

It would also be fantastic if vehicles could be classified by make or model, although I suspect that may be beyond Frigate's current capabilities. If anyone has experience with custom models or classifiers that can achieve something along those lines, I'd really appreciate your recommendations.

Advice for 100 cameras system

Hi guys, I'm currently in charge of my city's Surveillance system, we have ~100 cameras spread over 8 NVRs that handle the recording. There are 2 PCs that the personnel use for zooming in a particular camera, operating the PTZs and exporting recordings. We use Dahua for all cameras and NVRs and DSS Express for monitoring. Since DSS can only add 64 streams we have to use the 2 PCs to monitor the whole network. I've been looking for an alternative to DSS (of course that we can't afford DSS's licenses, or any other paid software). I tried Smart PSS V2 but it crashes every now and then as expected from an older version. My question is if there's any software worth looking into for this purpose. It would be ideal if it ran on Windows, but I could easily spin a Linux VM or docker container.
