Tired of people accusing me of supporting Serbia's war crimes just because I'm a Serb
I'm a Serb that was born and raised in Greece, I'm aware of the war crimes my country has committed in the past and I obviously recognize them, so it generally gets tiring whenever I happen to meet an Albanian/Bosniak person and when they find out I'm Serbian they jump to the conclusion that I support the war crimes of Serbia/Yugoslavia from the past.
One time a Greek friend of mine introduced me to a friend of hers who happened to be Albanian, he asked me about my ethnicity since my name is not Greek and I told him I'm Serbian, his face literally dropped and he asked me "Are you aware of the crimes your ancestors have committed?" Like, why would your first assumption of me be that I support war crimes JUST BECAUSE I'm Serbian?
Obviously this isn't something that happens every time I meet an Albanian/Bosniak person, I have great friends that are Albanian and they never judged me based on my ethnicity (and vice versa of course), but it happens enough for me to get tired of it.
