Finding a Navajo pen friend
Hi I’m from the uk and having travelled to America about 10 times, my favourite part was the Navajo Indian reservation.
26 years ago I travelled with my boyfriend and bought sand pictures, at the Four Corners. The guy who sold us the pictures asked if we were married, we’d only been together a few months so we laughed. He said you will get married, you both picked the wedding challis and end of trail, you are soul mates. There were others we picked too, he proceeded to write the stories on the back of each one, we left there thinking how sweet he was. We were only together 10 months when my husband proposed and this year we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows. My dream was to have a Native American blessing which sadly didn’t happen but as we love the culture and what navajo’s stand for I would really love to know more. I’m happy to share our English culture but it probably won’t be as interesting.
