Have to be quiet in gyms???
I have a genuine question
So first of all I haven’t been to the gym in 2 months, and the day I decided to I went to do glute kickbacks on a machine as people do at a gym, and there’s a girl who was there who used to always give me dirty looks. and today she decided to wave her hands in front of me and told me I’m making to much noise and to stop, I proceeded to tell her it is a gym it’s not a library people make noise in a gym, if you have a issue use earphones like everyone else does.
( the noise was the cable machine, the plates make noise naturally as your leg comes down, the plates hit together it’s quite literally impossible for it to not make noise )
She does not have the right to tell people to be quiet in a gym, I have went to gyms all over the world with grown men shouting and throwing down weighted bars etc. so I don’t know what made her think she has the authority to say this.
She called the police, (so silly over such a small matter ) to which the police said I pick her side ( meaning the girl ) I said why? And he said because you made a noise and noises in the gym are annoying… I genuinely was like am I hearing things?.
The gym is a place where people work out and work out HARD. they shout they throw down things some people even do crazy stuff in the gym but the police saying that practically you need to be quiet in the gyms? This is strange I genuinely don’t understand why he said this and took her side.
The more I’m here the more strange this place is becoming.
