I’m trying to extrude these curves in Rhino but nothing happens / the extrusion fails.
I tried:
ExtrudeCrv, Join, PlanarSrf, Rebuilding the curves
Still not working.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to properly extrude shapes like this?
Hi, I just started learning Rhino and I ran into a problem I can’t figure out.
I’m modeling simple wooden slats as solids (extruded shapes). On some of them, FilletEdge works perfectly, but on others that look basically the same, FilletEdge and ChamferEdge both fail.
I get errors like:
“Failure in building corners”
and the geometry breaks and looks messy
I didn’t do any trimming or complex operations — just basic modeling (extrude, copy, rotate). The objects look identical to me, but behave differently.
Is there something I should check or a common beginner mistake I might be making?
