Is this a cyberdeck or did I just build a little laptop?

Running on a Raspberry Pi 5, Waveshare 11.9" display, and Anker 20kmAh power bank.

The main issue I'm running in to is the display brightness. Does anyone have any experience with these displays? Do I need a different power supply for the display?

Also I installed RetroPie to have some old-school games like Mario and Sonic on it - does anyone have any experience getting those to play in ultra-widescreen? Any pointers?

UPDATE: I got the brightness figured out, I had to long-press the single button on the back of the display! woo! Now I just need to figure out how to get my games to play in ultra-widescreen :)

I’m hooked! I think I need to make my ingate bigger to get the mold full, does it look too small? I’m also thinking about just pouring right into an open-face sand mold so I could do more at a time, any advice on making sure I don’t over-fill each coin pocket? The backs of these are just flat, and I’m fine with that for these. This is just day one for me, but I’m pumped!
