This sucks

Diagnosed menieres - and hating it - betahistine has helped early with frequency of attacks - and about to move onto diuretics and then injections after that. It’s torture - I’ve worked out a couple of my triggers - salt, alcohol. But still get an attack a week, and it’s disabling 3 plus hours unable to walk far, lots of vomiting and I just hate it.

I’m literally sitting on the toilet floor after throwing up typing this - tell me this gets better ? I’m starting to develop anxiety around attacks and considering what my TPD and income protection might cover. This is horrific.

Afternoon attacks

Hi all - still relatively new (and unexcited about all this) potentially dumb question but most (not all) of my big episodes are mid arvo / evening (but I can get mild movement anytime- and have had attacks in the morning) I’ve read something about this possibly being dehydration but that doesn’t really resonate I’m good at staying hydrated ?

Any thoughts is this same for others ?

Thanks all

I’m trying to work out - as per other post (thanks all) what’s going on with energy / betahistdine etc

I am an occasional user of sleep meds - Belsomra - which actually can worsen menieres now I’ve read the side effects. So I’m back to doctor on that one.

Melatonin does little for me - but open to any other sleep med suggestions I can discuss with doc.

Any thoughts welcomed thanks

Hi all

I’m a couple of months into this - menieres / vertigo all the fun.

I’m getting pretty frustrated at a number of things - but sick of low energy and mood (not normally my style) googling side effects of betahistine doesn’t seem to be a regular side effect ? But I’m definitely low energy - or is it the low sodium ? Trying to work all this out - any advice appreciated.
