I'm trying to change parts of both my first and last name in Dekalb county. I've gone online and seen its a lot of steps and paperwork. Is it worth getting a lawyer? Or is it actually easier than it seems and a lawyer is a waste of money.

I don't want to mess anything up because its such a long process and I want to be able to get it done as quickly as possible.

It anyone has done it, any advice would be appreciated.
