Which? survey - 27.3% battery failure rate in new Ioniq 5 cars
Given I have seen a fair amount of speculation about the likelihood of 12V battery issues arising, I thought this article was worth sharing. The Which? annual car survey reports that 27.3% of Ioniq 5 owners are reporting 12V battery problems, which is up to 13 times the likelihood of problems in the average petrol car.
My own car failed multiple times before my Hyundai dealer finally fixed the issue. This issue aside these are great cars but Hyundai really need to sort this out as a near 30% failure rate is clearly unacceptable.
