My hair regime

I’ve been taking a GLP one for six months. I don’t agree what they say in that you can have temporary hair shedding due to “shock” on your body, drastic weight loss, nutritional deficiencies.
Let me tell you, I have lost weight steady and slow. 27 pounds in six months and still holding at that 27 pounds now for well over a month.
All of my labs are picture perfect. Iron, blood cells, ferritin, protein, all of it.
So there really doesn’t seem to be a “reason” for this to be happening unless it’s the medicine itself, which everything says the medicine won’t do it. I don’t really believe that.

That said: major shedding going on and off times two months.
Started oral 0.5 minoxidil four days ago. Doing some of the Hair MD regimen. Also doing rosemary and Teatree essential oil treatments.
I’m not as consistent with the stuff you put on your scalp because I hate how it makes my hair greasy.
I am consistent with the marine collagen daily, hairMD shampoo and conditioner, Hair MD daily supplement.

Broke a drinking habit today

Today is my third dry day. My goal I set on the dry app is six dry days a week at minimum. I will allow myself grace if it’s maybe a vacation or something. Anyway, when I travel for work and I’m by myself, I love to drink in the hotel bar. I get pleasure just from being alone and unwinding and being somewhere new and different. I’m currently in Miami and was tired when I got to my room and I wanted to go to the lounge so bad, but I didn’t. Very proud of myself. Two more days here, and I know I can do it.

Hi! Intro

I have decided to mostly abstain - but at minimum, cut wayyy back.

My liver enzymes (ALT, AST, ALP) are all elevated (luckily, slight inflammation). However, I have let my daily white claw habit go too far.

I typically drink 2-3 a night… weekends, more (6-8 depending) through day…

I have come to enjoy it so much, but I know it’s bad for me.

First goal: no drinking until 4th of July
Next milestone: no drinking until our vacation in October (and even then, maybe 1-2 days, not all)

Grace I will allow myself: occasional weekend slip up- but not often

Glad to be here!!!!

Hair loss too much for me

Hello - I have only been on since December and had very very slow weight loss. Part of that is my problem, because I could do things better like not drinking as many White Claws this summer. That said, I’ve lost about 30 pounds over the course of 6–7 months. The hair shedding has started, and it is significant enough to cause me extreme anxiety and sadness (was bawling last night).

My hair is very important to me, and I don’t know that I can continue to see these clumps fall out.
I had to take a break of a week off the Zep for a colonoscopy tomorrow and I’m debating over just stopping altogether. Yes I understand you shouldn’t stop abruptly, I’ve been a nurse 23 years so I “get it”. But I don’t know that I believe this hair shedding is gonna stop. Please offer any advice, experiences, or insight, so I can decide if I’m gonna start back up Tuesday.

ETA: I am gonna start oral minoxidil with vitamins soon and I wonder if anybody had good experience with that while taking Zepbound
