What’s this bird? Seen in the hills near Oakland, CA in March
I couldn’t get an unobstructed view of the body from the hiking trail I was on but the entire body appeared to be the same dark brown color as the head. Couldn’t see any other diagnostic patterns or markings and it didn’t make any noise. Is it a golden eagle?
