Police seize e-scooter from 16 year old speeding up to 70km/hr in South Hill Park

Officers out on foot patrol in South Hill Park on Friday encountered a group causing a nuisance, loud swearing and excessive noise but what really caught their attention was one member of the group travelling at ridiculous speeds along the footpath on an e-scooter.

Officers spoke with the group and seized the e-scooter from a 16 year old rider. When asked about the scooter, the rider told officers it could reach around 70km/h (43mph).

Police appeal: identification of e-bike thief

Police would like to speak with the male in the photo in relation to the theft of a bike that occurred in Bracknell.

The victim has reported that they were selling an electric pedal bike worth around £3000. A male attended their address at around 1830hrs on Sunday 14th June 2026 to have a look at it. The male stated that he wanted to give it a go and test ride it to which the victim agreed. The victim then noticed a short while later that the male has ridden off with the bike and not returned.

Police appeal: Ram-raiding burglary of Optical Center by black VW Polo, Bracknell Lexicon, August 4 Tuesday 11PM

On Tuesday around 11pm a black VW polo reversed into the Optical Center shop. Two people exited the vehicle and stole a number of sunglasses and optical frames. No one was injured during this burglary but significant damage was caused to the store.

Daniel King - jailed 9 months for shoplifting

Daniel King, aged 28, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a shop on Saturday 11 July at Reading Magistrates' Court and was sentenced to thirty-six weeks' imprisonment.

Between 8 May 2026 and 26 June 2026, King entered a number of retail premises in Bracknell and stole items from them, totalling to a value of £515.02.

25-year-old man from Bracknell arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving whilst uninsured and failing to stop and report a road accident after man in fifties dies in Ringmead, near the junction with Hanworth Road

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information in connection with a fatal road traffic collision in Bracknell.

A vehicle and pedestrian were in collision in Ringmead, near the junction with Hanworth Road, at about 11.45pm yesterday (18/7).

Sadly, the pedestrian, a man in his fifties from Bracknell, died following the collision. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Oliver Cahill-Smith of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I’m appealing to the public to come forward with information surrounding this collision, which has tragically taken the life of a man.

“I’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything in the area of Ringmead, near the junction with Hanworth Road, at about 11.45pm last night.

“If anyone has any footage from the area then please send it to the police as soon as possible.

E-fit image released in indecent exposure investigation – Bracknell

Thames Valley Police is releasing an e-fit image depicting a man officers would like to speak to in connection with an indecent exposure incident in Bracknell.

Between 8.20pm and 8.40pm on Friday 26 June this year, an unknown man indecently exposed himself to a female runner in the underpasses within the Twin Bridges roundabout in the town.

The victim states that as she approached the area, she passed two teenagers on scooters, and upon looking up, she saw a figure standing at the entrance to the underpass.

As she got closer, she noticed the man exposing himself. A previous incident involving the same man was reported by the victim in May 2026, although the exact date is unknown.

The suspect depicted in the e-fit image is described a white man, aged in his 30s with a medium build.

He was around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall with mousey brown hair, fairly long and brushed forward.

He had a small amount of facial hair and possible mole on his left cheek.

He was described as being overdressed for the warm weather and was possibly wearing work clothing.

Police charge Matthew Robert Wilkie with murder of Natalie Clements who died of head injuries

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, a man has been charged with murder in Bracknell.

On Wednesday (15/7), shortly before 7am, officers were called to an address in Birkdale following reports that a woman had sustained a head injury.

Despite the best efforts of South Central Ambulance Service, 40-year-old Natalie Clements was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A Home Office post mortem examination has now taken place, and concluded that Natalie’s death was caused by head injuries.

Matthew Robert Wilkie, aged 48, of Liscombe, Bracknell has been charged with one count of murder.

Detectives from Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Bracknell.

Officers were called at 6.57am today (15/7) to an address in Birkdale following reports that a woman had sustained a head injury.

Despite the best efforts of South Central Ambulance Service, a 40-year-old woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Formal identification and post-mortem procedures will take place in due course.

A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Scene watches remain in place at the address in Birkdale and in Liscombe while we carry out enquiries.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin, of the Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the woman at this incredibly difficult time.

“We are in the early stages of a complex investigation and are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death.

“We understand incidents such as this can be concerning for the local community. However, a man has been arrested in connection with this investigation and, at this stage, we do not believe there is any wider risk to the public.

“You will continue to see an increased police presence in the area while our enquiries remain ongoing. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to one of our officers.

Shane King - jailed 8 weeks for fraud and shoplifting

Shane King, aged 32, of no fixed above, was sentenced to 8 weeks imprisonment.

King pleaded guilty to one count each of:

- fraud by false representation

- theft from a shop

He had stolen a bank card and made false representation, intending to cause loss to the victim. In addition, King was seen on CCTV shoplifting a number of items from BP on Bagshot Road. He stole around £120 worth of stock including meat, soft drinks and pizza.

Police: Section 60 order enacted to prevent potential serious violence tonight – Bracknell

Thames Valley Police has enacted a Section 60 order in Bracknell to prevent potential serious violence today (22/5).

The order has been put in place in the town following intelligence and information received about a gathering due to take place in the Cabbage Hill area.

The area is defined by Temple Way and Newell Green, as shown in the map below.

The order lasts 12 hours and is due to expire at 7.36am tomorrow (23/5). The order will be reviewed and may be extended.

A Section 60 order can only be put in place in a defined area at a specific time when a senior officer believes there is a possibility of serious violence, or weapons being carried.

The order temporarily enhances powers for officers, meaning they can stop and search anyone in a designated area, shown on the map below.

Bracknell Neighbourhood Police have received and investigated reports relating to young persons using slingshots to harm wildlife within the Bracknell area. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

While not specifically banned items, slingshots can be classed as an offensive weapon if:

  • They are carried in a public place without good reason or lawful authority
  • There is intent to cause injury or damage

Being found in possession of a slingshot in these circumstances may result in:

  • Arrest

  • Wildlife crime – zero tolerance

Claydon Heard - jailed for 4 years for drug offences

Claydon Heard, aged 39, of Leaves Green in Bracknell, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday 27 April, to four years and four months in prison.

Heard pleaded guilty to:
- Three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine
- One count of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely heroin
- Three counts of possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis
- Two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely crack cocaine

Heard was stopped by officers on multiple occasions in possession of class A and class B drugs. The most recent being on 10 February this year.

Thames Valley Police can now confirm the identity of the victim in the ongoing murder investigation in Bracknell.

On Sunday (26/4), around 11.40am, officers were called to the Market Street area of Bracknell to reports of a deceased man.

The victim has been formally identified as Abdul Wali Mamozai, aged 33, from Bracknell.

Mr Mamozai’s next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.

Yesterday (29/4), four men aged 35, 27 and two aged 33, from Bracknell, were released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The scene watch has now been lifted in Market Street and we would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while this was in place.

Head of the force's Major Crime Unit, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown said: “Our thoughts are with Abdul Wali Mamozai’s family.

“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances around Mr Mamozai’s death to fully understand the events that have led to this sad loss of life.

Yesterday (26/4), around 11.40am, officers were called to the Market Street area of Bracknell to reports of a deceased man in his thirties.

His next of kin have been informed, however formal identification and post-mortem processes are yet to have been conducted.

A scene watch is in place at Gowring House service yard in Bracknell town centre and is expected to remain for some time.

Three men aged 35, 27 and 33 all from Bracknell, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and assault by beating. They remain in police custody.

Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, Head of the Major Crime Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s next of kin following his death.

“We are in the early stages of a complex investigation, and we are following several lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances around the murder.
