Troubleshooting is one of those skills where everyone has a different trick that saves them time.

What’s your favorite troubleshooting tip or method that has helped you track down problems faster?

Also, what’s one troubleshooting tool you use that you think more people should know about?

Could be anything from a meter function, thermal camera, test light, jumper setup, vibration tool, wiring diagram method, notes system, or just a simple habit that keeps you from chasing your tail.

I’m always looking to learn from other maintenance and electrical folks. Sometimes the best tips come from the people actually out there fighting the problems every day.
